Investors,

One of the conclusive comments I hear a lot when I talk to people about Bitcoin comes down to my appreciation bias. Many think I am just pushing the Bitcoin narrative to get rich and that is the only reason I talk about it. They think if I shout from the rooftops, convince more people to buy bitcoin, then bitcoin will go up. If bitcoin goes up, then I will make money then sell it to some poor schmuck I told to buy it.

This narrative ultimately shows that I don’t think Bitcoin is valuable to humanity and can bring positive change to the world. The narrative only shows all I care about is getting rich.

Why would anyone listen to me then?

It is an ego check time. You shouldn’t listen to me.

I was originally going to title this ‘A Message To The Haters.’ I was going to bash others, show how they are wrong, prove my point. However, the ego needs to be checked. Emotions need to be taken out. A calm mind must overtake the body’s decision-making process. Sometimes my emotion comes out in the writing I produce. Emotion is healthy and drives action, but like a lot of things in life, there is a fine line you are balancing. I never want to sound like a rambling idiot that thinks he knows everything. Recently, I have felt like that.

I have been posting frequently about Bitcoin and its possible future. I ask myself, “Why don’t others get it?” I forget I am extremely biased in my view. I have my own internal and external motivation for Bitcoin. I do as a disclaimer keep 80% of my wealth in Bitcoin. The cash in my bank account is the bare minimum to pay my bills.

Of course, I am going to be posting all over social media and convince others Bitcoin is superior. I have done tremendous research on this subject, but I would be ignorant to not recognize my underlying motivations short term.

I want to be rich!! I want to be very very rich. Who doesn’t? That monetary value could be different for everyone, but everyone wants to be rich enough to have the freedom to do whatever they want. FREEDOM.

I was listening to a crypto podcast the other morning and the guest said something thought-provoking. He said, “I don’t want Billionaire wealth. I want Billionaire capabilities.” That is a statement I can get behind. That statement, I believe, creates the right mindset when going after serious wealth.

I believe in this technology. Truly, I do. Long term my intuition suggests that this is one of the most influential innovations of our time. I believe it will create a better world and help an enormous amount of people.

If that is my base ideology, then why wouldn’t money flow into this system? If this system is only going to grow then why wouldn’t I put my money into it? Just because I want to get rich, doesn’t mean I want to tear the world down at the same time. I want both. I don’t want to tear down the buildings around me to make mine the biggest. I am shouting about this technology so everyone can build their own building bigger.

Short term, I am just trying to control what I can control.

I love Bitcoin and the underlying crypto ecosystem. I love to write about investing, bitcoin, and other anecdotes in my life. I love to invest my own money into technology. I love to educate people about this new technology. This is what I can control. I don’t have a crystal ball into the future. Yes, I don’t have the reputation or the success to be preaching or pushing anything on you. My goal is only to educate myself and anyone else that wants to read my organized thoughts.

You should understand my biases, questions me, question yourself and your beliefs, and make your own decision. I am just making a bet based on my own research. I could be wrong and it would be selfish of me to convince and push others to a conclusion.

Everyone’s path is different and you should choose to follow your own path. Not a kid wanting Bitcoin to go up and get rich. However, in my opinion, Bitcoin creates two things (1) enormous wealth transfer and (2) exponential positive change. Place your own bets, do your own research, and go after billionaire capability, not billionaire wealth.
